Back at RE/MAX - with New Perspective and More Energy!
After four years at a different brokerage, I've decided to come back to RE/MAX, and it feels really good to be back! While the transition and uncertainty was scary, I can honestly say it's what helped me get stronger both professionally and personally. The past few years gave me a chance to learn a lot, fine-tune how I work, and get a better sense of what actually makes a difference for my clients. That perspective is exactly what brought me back.
There's something to be said for being in a place that just fits - where you have the tools, support, and flexibility to do your best work. I'm not starting over, I'm just coming back with more insight! I also have some big goals for 2026 and beyond, and I'm excited about what's ahead. This move is a big part of that; making sure I'm in the best place to continue growing and delivering the kind of service my clients deserve.
I've had so much fun the last several months helping a young family find their new home. After touring more than 10 houses, they are settling into their beautiful new place and loving it!
Grand Rapids Area Market Update
There is a lot of uncertainty right now in our country regarding the economy. Here in West Michigan, the fundamentals remain solid. Employment remains stable, population growth continues to support housing demands, and inventory continues to slowly improve. Things can change quickly, but this current combination suggests our local market should continue moving forward this spring, even if the pace fluctuates as the broader economic picture evolves.
As expected, the warmer weather and spring energy has more buyers entering the market, with lower rates available and more inventory being added each day. For those looking to buy OR sell, it is an exciting time in real estate! Single family-home prices rose an average of 4 percent in 2025, while the number of new listings went up 6 percent from 2024. We can expect similar figures in 2026.
