Lessons I've Learned Along the Way
When you're new at something, it's easy to misunderstand how things work. Experience has a way of teaching us things that no explanation ever could. As I enter my fifth year in real estate, I'm not only proud of all that I've learned, but I'm super excited for what the next five years has in store for me. I take any opportunity to expand my knowledge, through courses and continuing education. By this time next week I will be a senior real estate specialist! I will never take for granted the chance to learn from other successful individuals in my field.
Learning to Say No
I'm learning that every yes is also a no to something else. This year I'm trying to be more thoughtful about what exactly deserves my time. Experience has taught me that clarity usually comes with time. I'm trying to pause more and react less. Saying no isn't about shutting doors. Sometimes it's about making sure the right doors stay open. What is one thing you might say no to today to protect what matters most?
Keeping it Simple
The more I simplify things, the more room there seems to be for what actually matters. Recently, this has manifested itself in spring cleaning and purging of items that only take up space. Something about warmer weather and small bits of sunshine makes me want to start fresh by creating a less cluttered space to live and work in. It can feel daunting, but if you focus on one area, like a closet, pantry, or bathroom cabinet, it can feel a lot more manageable. Take a look at your belongings and think: "Have I worn this in the last year? Have I used this in the last six months? Is this still good or is it expired?" If you answer no to any of these questions, it may be time to part ways. You might even make some extra cash, or make someone's day when dropping off a bag of donations! Here's a picture of a recent organization project of mine: my pantry!

I'd love to hear from you! What's something you've learned the hard way? Is there something you've started saying no to this year? Or a way you've been simplifying your life lately? If you need ideas on how to organize or purge one of your spaces, I'm happy to help by giving you some tips and tricks of mine!
I'll end today's blog with photos of things that made me smile this week! I hope you this week brings you smile-worthy moments as well.
